Justin Bieber Slowed Down 800 Percent Sounds 800% better!!! [Audio]
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have been busy trying to get my other blog up and running and in the process have neglected this one a little. I also apologize that the only thing I seem to have been posting is stuff on Justin Bieber, but when I heard this for the first time I was blown away.
By doing nothing more than slowing down Justin Bieber's song "U Smile" by 800 percent,"Shamantis" has created something that sounds like it belongs as a "Avatar" backing track or Enya's new single. Its great, now if only all of Bieber's songs where given the same treatment, then maybe he wouldn't sucked so much.

Benjamin Zander gives an enthralling discussion for Ted where he explains how "everyone loves classical music, but they just haven't realized it yet". He also shares his wonderful ideas about shinning eyes and "one buttock playing" that will keep you laughing and listening intently till the end.
A real must see for the musical and nonmusical alike, if anything I guarantee it will brighten your day.
Description of the Talk From the Ted Website.

Watch The Cult Following That Is Justin Bieber Fans Blow Up A Random Kids Phone!! [Video]

So, I thought I would demonstrate this craziness by showing what happens to one poor guy when he was falsely accused of being Beiber and how his phone paid the price.
Justin Beiber was, apparently getting back at this guy that hacked one of his friends profiles to get his number. He did this by putting the guy that hacked his friends accounts phone number up as his on his Twitter account for all 4.5 million of his followers to see saying..

Wednesday Quotes #7: Albert Einstein (Part 2)
Now the awesome conclusion of last weeks Einstein Quotes. Enjoy.....
I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
If you are out to describe the truth, leave elegance to the tailor.
If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
It is only to the individual that a soul is given.
It was the experience of mystery - even if mixed with fear - that engendered religion.
Love is a better teacher than duty.
Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.
Never do anything against conscience even if the state demands it.

The 5 Types of People You Meet on Xbox Live

The Rager
This is the person who gets mad about anything there is to get mad about. "Dude how did he kill me from that far away? This game is bulls**t! I'm about to quit! Oh my god get outta my way! Ok I'm gone. *leaves game*" These are the ones who you just want to punch in the face and call them a no-life.

The Cool Guy

The Small Child
We all know of them, and we all love to hate them. These are the little kids who like to talk junk with their squeaky voices, and your ears cringe at the sound of it. They always roam in packs too. It's kind of odd.

The Chill Gamer
These are the guys who just want to play to game. They care about their stats and how they do in the game, but all in all they just want to play for fun. These are some of the least common gamers out there.

The Cool Guy
This guy is one of the cockiest players in the entire community. He thinks he knows everything about the game and he tries to tell his team lies about his life in order to make himself seem great. We all know that in real life, this guy is a complete idiot and he is incredibly weird, that's why he tries so hard to seem cool.

The Girl Gamer
Girl gamers will always be harassed online and they know it. From the nerds who freak-out when a girl joins and say "Oh my god is that a girl?", to guys who try to be all cool and suave and use cheesy pick-up lines such as "Don't mind the other guys on here they are all dbags, I'm not like them." Girls are trying to play the game just like everyone else.

16 Year Old Boy Creates Online Company Worth A Million Dollars In Just 2 Years
![]() |
Christian Owen |
As a Small Business Major in college and "someday hopeful" owner of my own successful business this article from Gizmodo naturally intrigued me. Here we have this 16 year old boy from Britain, Christian Owen, who with nothing more than self-determination, a computer and a good idea created a million dollar business without ever really having to leave his room.
It just goes to show that the landscape of the business world is changing fast and if you have enough passion to get your great new idea out there for the world to see, there is an opportunity for you to be successful.
Excerpt from Gizmodo Article
"The British teen—who lives in Corby, Northamptonshire—got his first computer age seven. Three years later he got a Mac and taught himself web design. Four years later—at age 14, in 2008—he started his first company. It was a simple site that some of you may know: Mac Bundle Box. The site was pretty, rooted into Apple's own design guidelines and style...." (via Gizmodo)CLICK HERE To Read Entire Gizmodo Article...

JetBlue Flight Attendant Freak-out: Stephen Colbert's "Alpha Dog of the Week" [Video]
![]() |
Steven Slater |
Sometimes the customer is not always right; like when an employee of a company is getting verbally degraded by a customer. No one should have to take such a blatant act of completely undeserved disrespect just for the sake of the company. Some people's business is just not worth having because of the overall emotional toll it does on company moral. A definite change needs to be made on how workers,
in the service industry especially, are being treated by the people they are trying to serve.
I applaud Slater for standing up for himself even though he knew his job would be lost when doing so, and not to mention that he grabbed a couple brewskies from the airplane fridge before he made his escape down the emergency slide. Now if only referees started standing up for themselves during ballgames and McDonald's employees started yelling back at the people yelling at them as if the world was about to end because they accidentally got diet instead of regular Coke, then we would really start to see a change in attitudes towards people in the service business.

"When Your Strange: A Film About the Doors" Netflix Instant Queue Movie to Watch [Video]
This movie captivated me from start to finish. No matter if your a fan of The Doors bluesy sound or not, this movie will grab hold of you and take you on the journey of what it's like to be a Rock and Roll Legend. If you have Netflix you should definitely look this movie up in the "Watch Instantly" section this weekend and give it a watch, you'll be glad that you did.
"WHEN YOU’RE STRANGE uncovers historic and previously unseen footage of the illustrious rock quartet and provides new insight into the revolutionary impact of its music and legacy. Directed by award-winning writer/director Tom DiCillo and narrated by Johnny Depp, the film is a riveting account of the band’s history." (Via www.whenyourstrangemovie.com)

Gotta catch em all!
I remember when Pokemon ruled the world, how about you? If you were a 90's child then you probably do. I remember the day my mom brought home my brother and I's first Pokemon games for the good ole Gameboy Pocket. She had Blue and Red, put them behind her back and told us to pick a hand. My bro got Blue and I picked Red. We would spend hours playing those games, and we made sure that every part of the game was beat. Anyone else have some good childhood memories about Pokemon?

Wednesday Quotes #6: Albert Einstein (Part 1)
Albert Einstein is, to me at least, not just a genius because of what he has done in the field of physics, but also what he stood for morally as a person. When searching for quotes by him, I found so many I liked that I have had to split them up into two parts; the other half being saved for next time. So without further ado, here they are and make sure to check back in next Wednesday for the second half.

A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.
A perfection of means, and confusion of aims, seems to be our main problem.
A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.
A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?
All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded the individual.
Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools.
Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.
Everything that can be counted does not necessarily count; everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted.

Statistics to put your Shark Week Scared Mind at Ease
If you've been watching "Shark Week" on the Discovery channel I am sure that your so scared to go into the ocean right now a little statistical peace of mind would be good. I found this website called Mother Nature Network and it had some really cool infographics that give a visual aid for shark attack related statistics. The graph below is of "Shark attacks and fatalities around the United States in 1670-2009". If your a North Carolinian, only 35 attacks in the last 339 years should make you feel pretty good about getting in the ocean.

One of the Infographics from the Website |
Check out all the rest of the infographics at http://www.mnn.com/lifestyle/pets-animals/stories/infographic-shark-attacks. It includes many other statistics like "Most likely place to be bitten", "How sharks don't attack", and "Things more likely to kill you than a shark". Check it out for sure!!

Futurama on Netflix: My New Obsession
Netflix has made me a slave to Futurama. Every time I turn on the ole' Xbox, all I can seem to do is head to my Instant Queue and start the next episode where I left off. Anyway, I was just wondering if there are any Futurama addicts out there created by the advent of that which they call Netflix and if you have any advice on what I can do to remedy it.

What?? A Wireless Keyboard the Size of a TV Remote w/ Trackpad. Yes Please!!
While searching around ThinkGeek for things that I don't need but wish I could have, I came across this wonderful invention. As you can see it is hand-held keyboard WITH a Trackpad and is about the size of an average TV remote. This thing is going to make sitting down to watch Hulu or Netflix on the TV through a computer a whole lot simpler and a whole lot less bulky. Did I mention it's Backlit as well? Yeah, I want one in a big way.
Check it out at ThinkGeek here http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/keyboards-mice/e0e7/#tabs

The Blues is back and it goes by the name of "The Black Keys"
![]() |
The duo rockin' out |
Thankfully I have found a remedy, however, and its come in the form of "The Black Keys". This band has been around for a little while now, but like always here lately it seems, I am slow to discover them. This Duo, shockingly enough, consists of Dan Auerbach on Vox/Guitar and Patrick Carney on drums as well as a touring bass player and keyboard player.
The band brings back that dirtiness rock was born of, riding bluesy riffs and raspy vocals that if you had never seen the band before, you'd swear was coming out of a older black man singing his blues to the sidewalk rather than a skinny looking white guy.
Every once and a while it seems like rock gets in this weird socially acceptable distilled down format now posed by bands like Nickelback and Chris Daughtry, and needs a swift kick in the ass to keep its roots from stagnating and fading away. A band like "The Black Key's" shows there is still hope for the genre yet, and maybe all "rock" want turn into a auto-toned pop song compressed until its head explodes. Technology steals the soul of music, and these guys are bringing that soul back.
